      Zuzanna "Zuza" Witych (Poland)

      Zuzanna "Zuza" Witych (Poland)

Where are you from and where do you live now?

I live in Vercorin, Switzerland. I come from Łódź, Poland.

      Your favorite mountains?

      The Swiss Alps.

      Your home ski area?

As I'm from a big city in a totally flat part of Poland, it is hard to say :) I always had to drive many hours to the nearest mountains. My second home for 5 years now is Switzerland so the little swiss village where I live I can call my home spot, it's called Vercorin in the canton of Valais in French-speaking part of Switzerland

What was your first experience with skis?

When I was three years old, my five-year-old brother went skiing on a "big" mountain with our parents for the first time. My parents decided that I was still too small. I was so outraged and sad that after my strong protest, my parents were forced to take me too ;)

      What are your favorite sports/hobby/activities?

Downhill biking and electric bikes, which allow me to explore and discover completely wild and inaccessible corners of the Alps. I also like learning foreign languages :)

      Why Majesty?

Because I'm a big fan of it's quality and design, I can fully trust them when I'm skiing, even in the sketchiest terrain. I love the philosophy of the brand and the fact that it's Polish.

How long have you been with Majesty?

      Proudly since 2017

Any cool accomplishments with Majesty so far?

Multiple Polish Championship titles in slopestyle. Winning the Freeride World Qualifier ranking in Europe and Oceania region in 2020. Scoring 3rd place at the Freeride World Tour 2021.

What are your future plans with Majesty?

Do my best during the Freeride World Tour competitions. My greatest dream is to win the FWT title :)

Where are you from and where do you live now?

I live in Seattle WA but I grew up near Raleigh, NC.

      Your favorite mountains?

Japan and Switzerland are incredible but there's nothing like skiing down the side of a giant volcano here in Washington.

      Your home ski area?

      Crystal Mountain

What was your first experience with skis?

Growing up in the southern U.S., I didn't really get to ski until I moved to Vermont after college. I taught myself on those icy slopes but really fell in love once I started taking ski trips out west with friends.

      What are your favorite sports/hobby/activities?

I enjoy skiing in resorts but my real love lives in the backcountry. In the summer I enjoy mountaineering and backpacking in the Cascades but I'm also fortunate that the ski season never stops here in the Pacific Northwest and I have skied every month for more than seven years.

      Why Majesty?

I love Majesty because freeriding is in their DNA. They're designed by people who love doing the same type of skiing I do and strike the perfect balance between weight and power for what I need.

How long have you been with Majesty?

I've been skiing Majesty skis for four seasons now.

Any cool accomplishments with Majesty so far?

Many great days in the mountains! I've used them to ski off the summits of four of the five volcanoes in Washington.

What are your future plans with Majesty?

More great ski seasons and plan to get Mt. Rainier in the spring.

I live in Trondheim, Norway. I come from Rælingen, Norway.

      Your favorite mountains?

My favorites are the Romsdalen and Sunndalen mountains, and also the Jotunheimen National Park.

      Your home ski area?

My home spot is Vassfjellet, Trondheim, and Marikollen, Rælingen.

What was your first experience with skis?

I had skis on my feet from the time I learned how to walk. So my first experience was skiing around in my backyard. Otherwise, I started rando skiing nine years ago in the mountains surrounding my cabin, and then had a winter in Chamonix where I learned a lot.

      What are your favorite sports/hobby/activities?

My favorite sports are alpine skiing, cross country skiing and running.

      Why Majesty?

My good friend from Rælingen, Espen Helgesen, put me in contact with Svein-Erik and Majesty Norway. I really like the quality of Majesty Skis and how the brand designs and develops their skis. Majesty Norway is such a great family as well, with lots of inspiring and dedicated people. Moreover, it's really cool to join the development of the brand here in Norway.

How long have you been with Majesty?

      Since 2019

Any cool accomplishments with Majesty so far?

I've had many cool days and longer trips in the mountains of Romsdal, Sunndal and Jotunheimen. I'm currently skiing the Supernova Carbon, which makes it easy to do fun projects in almost all conditions.

What are your future plans with Majesty?

I hope to inspire others to bring Majesty Skis with them to the mountains and to generally get outside as often as possible. These are trustworthy skis with good quality that lasts for a long time. In addition, I hope to travel more with the guys from Majesty Norway, create projects together and develop the brand more, here in Norway! Lastly, I have some cool ideas regarding spring skiing and I'm sure Majesty skis are perfect for those projects too.

      Why Majesty?

After more than 50 years on hundreds of different skis, I can now allow myself to judge. For what I'm doing in the mountains in the winter - mainly ski touring and freeriding - I don't know any better skis than Majesty. I can totally vouch for them! Stability, reliability, maneuverability and above all the low weight - it all plays a decisive role for me when we are on ski tours and I have to be able to rely 100% on the equipment. That the fun during the ascent and in the descent is not neglected, it is included with Majesty Skis.

How long have you been with Majesty?

      Since 2016.

Any cool accomplishments with Majesty so far?

The many ski tours with my friends from the BERGE IM LICHT SKI TEAM in Montafon and the Tyrolean mountains, and the unforgettable ski expedition to the Caucasus!

What are your future plans with Majesty?

Many more ski tours with friends - also several days with a tent, camping in the mountains of the Montafon and all over the world. I still dream of ski touring trips to Alaska, Canada or Norway. When the covid no longer has the world in its grip, I will do everything I can to make my dreams come true.
