Where did you grow up and where's your home base now?

I spent my childhood in the Laurel Highland Mountains of Southwestern Pennsylvania and moved west in 2006. I've called the Elk Mountains of Crested Butte, Colorado home since 2007.

Your favorite mountains?

Some of my favorite mountains are actually volcanoes! I love the Chilean Andes, and specifically Volcan Llaima and Volcan Villarica for their aesthetic grandness rising from the landscape and long smooth climbs and descents.  At home, the Elk Mountains in Colorado offer cold snow and steep technical skiing, fulfilling my need for deep powder and exciting terrain.

Your home ski area?

I grew up on the slopes of Seven Springs, PA. Crested Butte is my home ski area now, offering legendary steep skiing accompanied by legendary core shots.

What was your first experience with skis?

My parents took me skiing for the first time at 11 months old, putting ski boots on over my tiny shoes. I may have learned to ski before I could walk! In addition to teaching high school English, my dad was a ski instructor and raised me in ski culture. I'm so grateful to have spent my childhood winters on snow!

What are your favorite sports/hobby/activities?

I love all varieties of skiing: telemark, freeride, touring, and nordic. I'm also an avid mountain biker and cyclist and operate a youth outdoor education program, CB Mountain Mentors, serving more than 70 youth each summer! Managing a youth nordic skiing program, I organize lessons through elementary and secondary schools for more than 500 kiddos each season, and lead a youth backcountry and avalanche education program. My sweet old dog has my heart, so when not working, I love to take Buddy on road trips to camp and explore new places.

Why Majesty?

Majesty skis not only are awesome tools for skiing and mountaineering, but I'm stoked on their environmental initiatives. The Skis 4 Trees program contributes to forest regeneration and encourages ecological preservation, one step towards a healthier planet earth!

How long have you been with Majesty?

2024-2025 is my first season with Majesty.

Any cool accomplishments with Majesty so far?

I'm excited to work with a brand that supports environmental protections, cultural diversity in snow sports, and women in leadership positions.

What are your future plans with Majesty?

In February 2025, I'll be completing the AIARE Instructor Training Course to support a goal of mine, to teach avalanche education courses and help folks build avalanche awareness and decision making skills in the backcountry. I'm a competitor on the Freeride World Qualifier Tour, and will travel for events in Canada and the US this season. Ranked 10th going into the season, I'm excited to represent Majesty skis and show my own unique style in competition. I'm thankful to be on the Majesty team, and for their support of my professional and athletic endeavors!
