When I first realized that 90% of King George Island is covered with glaciers, skitouring is the first thing that came to my mind.
I came here for the first time in 2011 and after 6 months spent on the glacier I knew that every ski line needs perfect preparation.
This time I will spend 12 months here.
I have got new duties, new plans, and new lines to ski. What am I waiting for? I'm waiting for "the window", favorable tides, free time, climb exploration, snow conditions... All those factors need to align at that one particular moment. Here in Antarctica, there is no room for mistakes or lost opportunities.
This is the end of the world. Literally.
For the year that Adam spent on Antarctica he chose Werewolf CLT The all-terrain skis that provide lightweight performance and versatility.
The carbon enhanced construction delivers both easier, lighter ascents and incredible rigidity that delivers precise grip even in the hairiest of situations. It is good to have a reliable skimo tool, especially in a desolate place where you don't know what adventures may lie ahead.
