Super light, nimble stubby that literally skis everything.
Precise / Responsive / Technical
The Supernova SL Carbon is hands down one of the most exciting ultralight carbon skis around. Recognized by several industry awards including the Backcountry Magazine's 2019 Gear Guide Tester's Choice award in the U.S., these light weight carbon backcountry-touring skis hit all the marks as stand out performers from shrilling hard-pack to floating through fresh powder. With their remarkable edge grip they ski extremely well in all terrain conditions.
A couple of Backcountry Magazine's tester quotes:
- "Super fun and playful tips are floaty in powder and the stiff tails are perfect at speed.
- “Planets align when you ski these skis through powder.”
The Supernova SL is constructed with light paulownia wood core. This choice of light core material shaved off 250 grams per ski when comparing to the 2018 Supernova Carbon skis. This leaner design complements the already impressive list of features including the full carbon fiber topsheet layup, carbon-aramid stringers core reinforcement, flat tail design with skin heels, early taper rocker tips, semi-cap construction and 101-105 mm waist. All of this packaged together created ultra-lightweight and responsive skis with unmatched performance and stability even in the sketchiest weather and terrain. The reduction of the overall tail-length and shifting the skier slightly toward the back created quicker turning and more versatile touring skis. The reduction in weight doesn't compromise any functionality or stability of the skis. In fact the Supernova’s usability has been increased with their longer contact edges that extend nearly the entire length of the skis. When it comes to real adventure skis, whether you are planning a trip to Chamonix, Aspen or Revelstoke, volcano touring in The Cascades or exploring the glaciers of Alaska, you now truly need just one tool in your quiver and the Supernova SL is it! You can now experience the future of high performance backcountry touring with just one pair of extremely versatile carbon skis that replace a garage full of overly specialized confusion.
Majesty's Skis4Trees program is our environmental sustainability pledge meant to offset some of our own carbon footprint created by our supply chain and manufacturing. It is important to us to continually improve the way we act in our natural environment and we chose to plant a tree for every pair of skis we sell.
