Majesty/ATK Raider 12 2.0 touring bindings
At 350 grams the Raider 12 2.0 combines several important performance and comfort innovations. It delivers extreme stiffness of the boot/ski connection, no torsional movement, a precise release system and overall better riding properties.
The toe component was designed and optimized for intuitive, reactive and powerful step-in, while the heel component uses the patented E.R.S.® - ELASTIC RESPONSE SYSTEM that absorbs energy during the ski compression and releases it during the ski distension. Combined with its new base plate drilling pattern the binding provides an incredible riding sensitivity and performance even in the most extreme conditions.
The binding's comfort is achieved with the patented MAGNETO® heel system that easily provides 5 walking positions (FLAT, +38mm, +41mm, +48mm, +58mm), and can be adjusted with the tip of the ski pole. 2 positions can be achieved without turning the heel component's head, which helps to minimize the risk of losing balance on steeper slopes. The heel component provides a 5-12 adjustment range for lateral and vertical release and 30 mm of fast adjustment, making it possible to fit it with up to 3 boot sizes.
Why the front brake? This is a very unique feature of some of ATK's designs. The toe-piece brake deploys when you unclip/lose your ski while skinning up or skiing down. All other designs on the market release the brake only when you happen to fall/release from the binding while skiing down.
