When comparing tech AT bindings with alpine bindings it's quite clear that the AT toe piece is much stiffer and precise than any alpine binding. This however is not the case when it comes to the heel parts because every boot type/brand has a different sole thickness, which makes it impossible for the sole of the boot to be in contact with the ski. No worries though, because the new adjustable FREERIDE SPACER accessory closes this gap and exceeds the stability of most alpine bindings while delivering incredible downhill performance.
Two elastic sliding pads create a contact between the boot sole and the ski in order to efficiently transfer vertical and torsional loads. The pads enable a proper side release value also when the spacer is loaded during jumps or compression. The spacer is provided with several washers to customize the spacer height and perfectly fit with any boot model.
